5/28: Coming Back to Center
Coming Back to Center
I love this quote by Marianne Williamson:
“Ego says, “Once everything falls into place, I’ll feel peace.”
Spirit says, “Find your peace, and everything will fall into place.””
Easier said than done, right?
The last two weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind for me.
And I got off balance, and off my center.
My schedule was throw into a tailspin, my regular sabbath day was moved to a different day (notice that doesn’t say CANCELLED), my other days off vanished into the things that were taking much more time, focus, and energy than I had anticipated. And that, at the time, I couldn’t postpone.
At first I kept working to find my balance, my center each day.
But gradually my ego decided I was too important, that everything had to be done before I could take the time to regroup, that everything else would just have to wait.
Oh shades of my old Wall Street career, and old ways of being!
Well, I’m done with that.
And I am coming back to my center.
Spirit says if I have to come back here a million times over, that’s ok.
As long as I come back.
I know what centers me, grounds me, brings me back to peace and flow.
I know that my point of power is in my center, in my peacefulness, in my breath work, and my be-ing times.
And so I return, once again, to center.
No judgement, just relief to be back.
When I am in my center, I am home.
And all is well.
