Release, Reground, Regroup, Repeat. Finding balance in challenging times
Boy oh boy, it sure does take a lot of effort to find balance in challenging times, doesn’t it?
I think what I am seeing more often that not, is that folks think:
oh, I did that once so I should be good to go.
oh, I had a session a few months ago, I’m good.
oh, I meditated for a week or so but then I forgot all about it.
and my all time most commonly heard from clients answer: oh, there’s a lot going on in my life right now. I really don’t have time to use my tools. I’ll get back to then when things settle down.
Well guess what my friends.
That’s not really going to do it, especially when times are challenging.
Consistency counts when you want to live your better life.
Thinking, avoiding, letting another day go by without taking action changes nothing!
I’ve put on a lot of weight.
I’m not happy about it.
I think a lot about doing something about this.
And then, as the day progresses, I don’t. I forget. I get too busy. I don’t bother using my tools because HEY I’M BUSY.
And so things are getting worse instead of better.
I’m completely, utterly inconsistent. I don’t make the time, I don’t make the effort, and then I moan and groan when there’s yet another pound on.
Like someone else is the boss of me haha!
Whenever we want to change, whenever we want to be different in the world, we have to just keep plugging away at it, day after day after day.
We need to release the old, reground into our emerging new self and into our intention and our vision, we need to regroup and assess what’s not working (and then let that shit go), and then we have to repeat this same sequence.
Over and over and over again. And again.
It’s really the only way to make changes for the better.
I love this little Calvin cartoon I’ve shared with you here.
He’s a bit battered, but he isn’t quitting. He’s all set to try it again, and to keep moving forward!
So let’s pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Release, reground, regroup, repeat.
Easier said than done, but so worth it when we do!
And to those of you doing this already? YOU ROCK.
And that’s it for now.
with love to you today,
